I am going to do the complete overhaul to the look getting rid of that coffee cup and adding rocks and compasses and outdoor items.

I am going to start writing posts about our members favorite rocks and some just short information posts about different rocks.  I am going to steal stuff from off the the monthly newsletter and post it on here.  I’ll also post about upcoming rock and mineral shows from all over the US or World.

Also…there is a subscription area on the sidebar.  You will get all the new entries right in your e-mail if you enter your e-mail in that spot.  It is not a spam address collection.  Only I see the e-mails and I don’t use them for anything, but the automatic sending of the updates.  It is not a “list” or anything like that.

Here is a very, very small taste of what is in store for your eyes.  I took over 200 pictures, so I will be posting identified pictures from this show on this site for months.

Anyways, I wanted to let everyone out there know…this show is going to be great.  The response from dealers was overwhelming, we could have sold twice the tables we did.  That said we are on the lookout again for a new larger location that we can grow at.

The show now needs to have a great viewer turnout.

It is off interstate 81 at Exit 14 at the Quality Inn and Suites this year March 24th and 25th.  The hours are 10 to 6 Saturday and 10 to 5 Sunday.

I hope all the members make it to at least attend the show.  I know I will be at the spin for a rock booth a lot of the time.  I will have Kyra with me though, so maybe won’t be such a good help.  I may be extraordinarily helpful though as Kyra may just love this spin thing.  LOL…

I know this page needs to be worked on.  I was working on changing the look to include photos or rocks and such, but I found this theme with the sky instead.  All rockhounders basically love the outdoors, so I felt this was appropriate.

I am going to post about some new photo collections that were given to me as well. 

I am still looking for more great stories and information to put on this site. 

It is a community site and I can’t just do it all by myself as far as finding content.  I have other website’s and other things I do.  I however do want it to look as great as it can and will concentrate on putting any information that you give me on it as quickly as I can.
